The greatly anticipated three-day Country Lakeshake music festival kicked off in the Windy City Friday, June 23rd, with performances by top country touring artists including Thomas Rhett, Miranda Lambert, Randy Houser, Little Big Town and Big & Rich, just to name a few, before wrapping up with a memorable performance by American country music trio, Rascal Flatts, Sunday night. With 16 number one hits, over 23 million records and 10 million-plus concert tickets sold since forming in Columbus, Ohio in 1999, it should be no surprise as to why Rascal Flatts was selected as the final act to close out this annual music festival for 2017.

With help from supporting artists Brothers Osborne, The Cadillac Three, Chase Rice, William Michael Morgan, Dylan Scott, Bailey Bryan, Walker Hayes, Whiskey Meyers, Morgan Wallen and Dee Jay Silver, Sunday turned out to be a fun-filled day of remarkable music, great weather, phenomonal food and beverage, exceptional side-stage events and tried-and-true concert-goers coming together to celebrate their love of all things country.

So if you weren’t fortunate enough to attend the Country Lakeshake festival this year, there’s always 2018…but you may want to do yourself a huge favor in the interim and catch these bands on the road when they come to a venue near you as each one of these artists brings their own unique sound and style to the stage that produces a level of energy and enthusiasm that cannot easily be duplicated. Listen to music, support local and national bands and love your country! These are three of many simple ways to live a happy, fulfilling life.

As an avid music-lover my entire life, I dove head first in hard rock and hair metal in the 1980's when I attended my first concert, Ozzy Osbourne, when I was just 14 years old. From that moment on, I was hooked on rock n' roll and enjoying concerts, with film camera in hand, on a regular basis in hopes of capturing a photo or two of my favorite artists. Additionally, I learned to play guitar in my early teens and have been playing in bands ever since. Now that I am in my 40's, my life has changed dramatically, however my undying passion for enjoying live music, taking photos of my favorite bands and performing as a musician in my own band remain my favorite pastimes of choice. I hope you enjoy my work!
